Your customer list
Where customer records come from, what they hold, and what customers can do themselves.
A customer record is created the first time someone orders from you. It carries their contact details, their order history, and their subscriptions if they have any.
What customers do themselves
Customers get an account on your storefront where they can see their orders, manage their subscriptions, update their details and set their contact preferences. That is deliberately their job rather than yours β it is the difference between a hobby and a shop.
Deletion requests
A customer can ask for their data to be erased, and can do it themselves from their account. Their personal details are removed, but the orders stay β those are your financial records, and they are anonymised rather than deleted.
